Equally as nice is May when spring flowers are in bloom, and during fall in September and October, you can find beautiful fall foliage. If you don\u2019t want to freeze, avoid winter!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0For the <\/span><b>best hotel rates with nice weather conditions, visit during the middle of May before Memorial Day and after Labor Day through the end of October<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. We visited in the middle of May and saw less crowds, had great weather, and snagged a great hotel rate!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><b>Getting to Traverse City<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Fly:<\/strong> If you\u2019re coming from farther away, flying will be your best option! You can fly into the Cherry Capital Airport (TVC). The Cherry Capital Airport is a full-service commercial airport serving over 15+ cities with non-stop direct flights across the United States. The airport is conveniently located only 10-15 minutes from downtown Traverse City. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Drive:<\/strong> Traverse City is a comfortable driving distance from many cities in the Midwest.\u00a0 As you get closer to Traverse City, it\u2019s fun to watch the scenery change to vineyards, rolling foothills, and orchards of cherry trees. Parking spots downtown were easy to find and you can pay with a credit card at a meter. Most hotels in Traverse City typically include complimentary parking as part of your nightly rate. They make a crisp and refreshing Blanc de <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Blancs, and<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a Sparkling <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ros\u00e9 <\/span> with a\u00a0 smooth dry finish. Both were spectacular and perfect for enjoying on their patio. The views at the top are spectacular overlooking Lake Michigan.
